Break the Chains

During October, for Anti-Slavery Day, we sold Mercy 'Break the Chains' wristbands around school to help stop Human Trafficking. Mercy International are working with organisations to stop human trafficking, and as we are a Mercy School we supported their campaign.

Pupils from the Faith in Action group went around school at registration, break and lunchtime to sell the bracelets, which girls were allowed to wear on Ant-Slavery Day. We presented Sr. Patricia Bell with a cheque for £234 in the Mercy Convent during one of our Year 8 retreats, and she was extremely happy with our fundraising!
