Cross Country Triumph

On Wednesday 19th September our Year 7 and Year 10 Cross Country girls achieved great results at Calderstones Park in the Merseyside Schools Cross Country midweek league.

We had two Year 7 pupils competing in their first Cross Country race for Broughton.  Out of 74 competitors Kylah O came 4th position, and Kimberley N came 34th.  This is an excellent achievement for both girls!

Our Year 10 team performed exceptionally well with Faye O finishing in 1st position, Isabel L completing the race in 4th place and Molly T completing the race in her best position yet – 10th.

Excellent performances all around from our Broughton Hall pupils, especially competing bottom age against Year 11 pupils.  Keep up the hard work girls!

Broughton Hall and the PE Department are extremely proud of the girl’s efforts and are hopeful for more pupils to take part in the cross country league.  Well done to everyone involved, and to those parents supporting the team!

The next fixtures are:

  • 17th October;
  • 27th February;
  • 20th March.

If pupils are interested in taking part/joining the cross country team; please visit the PE Department for a letter or more information.
