DOFE
Would you like to help young people learn skills in the outdoors? We are looking for volunteers from the Family and friends of Broughton Hall to help deliver the expedition section of our D of E Award.

Over the past 5 years our D of E award has grown and grown to allow more and more of our girls to develop skills, fitness and community spirit through volunteering. For the girls to complete the award they must complete two expeditions. We are looking for outdoor loving volunteers to join us on residential expeditions (2 or 3 days) as we teach the girls about navigation and camp-craft. If you would like to get involved you could receive training via the  D of E on the DES course (D of E Expedition Skills) or Lowland Leader award.

Many people who have volunteered for the D of E come back time and time again due to the positive experience they have working with young people and showing them areas of the country they may not have been able to access before. All volunteers would need to be CRB checked. If you would like more information please visit https://www.dofe.org/leaders/volunteer-roles/ and if you would like to get involved please email sharplesm@broughtonhall.com with D of E volunteer as your subject or phone the school and ask to speak to Mr Sharples.
