The theme of the day was the analysis of antimicrobial treatments for swimming pools. This involved analysing chlorine treatments and a solution containing copper ions. Students used titrations to analyse two different samples containing chlorine. They also used spectrophotometry to analyse the concentration of copper ions in a water sample.

The students had the opportunity to learn some new laboratory skills and to use some state of the art equipment.

The team performed very well and enjoyed the experience of working in the university laboratories.
