Students must complete transition work in preparation for level 3 study. This will allow pupils to revisit work from GCSE and stretch to show the level of work that is needed to be successful at A Level. It will also help to minimise the impact of Covid-19 closure on future progress.
All students should complete the Study Skills transition work plus at least three transition projects for three sixth form courses. These should be for the courses the student is intending on studying in September 2020. If a student is unsure or undecided, they may complete more than three transition projects to help with their decision making process. The study skills transition work will support students for independent learning.
All transition work must be submitted via email to the relevant member of staff by Thursday 20th August 2020. staff details can be found on each piece of work
If a student completes three transition projects but enrols onto a different course on Thursday 20th August, they will then be required to complete transition work for that course by Wednesday 2nd September 2020.
Students will not be admitted onto a course if work is not submitted. Acceptance onto all courses is also subject to the student meeting the entry requirements for that course.
Transition work can now be accessed via our school website, under Sixth Form - Transition Work. Students can download the work directly from there.
If parents or students require further information regarding the courses we offer, please check the Sixth Form available courses section of our website which explains the requirements and contents of the courses we offer. Additionally, please feel free to contact me if you require any further guidance or advice.
