A level Fine Art will give you the opportunity to develop your understanding of the visual world, learning practical skills and responding to ideas and issues that are personal to you. Art and Design courses are flexible and stimulate creativity, offering a high degree of choice and a range of different media, processes and techniques.

Year 12: Sept - April
Personal Creative Enquiry- Development of technical skills and contextual knowledge to meet the requirements of A level - 40% of A level
Year 13: April - May
Personal Investigation (started after Easter in Year 12) - 36% of final mark Externally set task - 24% of final mark. Paper is given to students at the beginning of February 2021 and preparation is until - April 2021. Practical exam is 15 hours (split over 3 days) in April 2021.
