Broughton Hall Catholic High School - Behaviour for Leaning

Behaviour for Leaning

Introduction

At Broughton Hall Catholic High School, we believe that every member of our community is part of one family, inspired by the Sisters of Mercy and grounded in faith, hope and love. Our mission is simple: to empower each young person to flourish, not only through academic excellence, but through kindness, respect and a deep sense of belonging.

Within our behaviour policy, we ask our students to live out our Mercy Values each day - Learning, Acceptance, Resilience, Community, Environment, Generosity, Sincerity, Service and Forgiveness.

These values guide how we learn, how we treat one another, and how we care for our world.

At Broughton Hall, we work together to:
  • Recognise and nurture the unique potential of every student.
  • Foster positive relationships built on respect, understanding and compassion.
  • Create a joyful, purposeful and safe environment where everyone can succeed.
  • Encourage responsibility and reflection, helping our students make wise choices and learn from mistakes.
  • Celebrate effort and kindness, as much as achievement.

These expectations capture the true spirit of what it means to Be Broughton.

We believe that education works best when home and school are united. Together with parents and carers, we support our young people to grow into confident, caring and resilient individuals who embody the spirit of Mercy in all they do.
