Bedrock Learning

We have invested in an innovative Literacy learning programme called Bedrock Learning, a website that helps children to learn important academic vocabulary, whilst also encouraging them to read regularly. Educational research shows that children with wide vocabularies make excellent progress at school and in further education.

As your child progresses through the curriculum, they will read fiction and non-fiction texts regularly.
Students must complete two homework Bedrock lessons a week.

Parents/Guardians will be able to log on to see their child's progress. You will be able see the vocabulary your child is learning, which we encourage to use in conversation at home. You can head over to the site and create your own account now using your personal access code your child has received in their personalized letter via their form tutor.

Step 1: Visit app.bedrocklearning.org

Step 2: Click on the 'Guardian/Teacher' tab.

Step 3: Complete the parent sign up sheet and enter the access code provided to you by the school and click 'Register' to create an account.

Step 4: Check your email for your password, and then log in. Be sure to check your junk folder if no email arrives!

Step 5: You will receive weekly emails sent to your inbox with your child's progress.

If you have any questions on how to navigate the Bedrock website, please see the link to the Bedrock parent/guardian guide here: https://bit.ly/2TrdZ4h.

Guidance is also available for you and your child on the Bedrock Learning Youtube channel - Bedrock Learning Youtube channel

Parental support sessions for Bedrock will be scheduled later in the term - we will be in touch in due course.
